WebFeb 2, 2024 · As a last resort, try touching one cable to the starter case and the other to the terminal. If the starter won't crank the engine, it is bad. WebOct 16, 2016 · Issue: 1952 Ford 8N will backfire and not start. Fuel flow is fine, Replaced following with New 1. Spark plug wires & Coil / Cap wire, 2. 12 volt Coil , 3.Rotor, 4. Cap, 5.
