Web7 jan. 2013 · My1950 m37 Ithaca with a 28"steel Full choke barrel has the smallest .658" bore. Some have bores as large as .675" That perhaps explains why many Ithacas group slugs well. The choke on this full marked barrel is.650". Squeezing a plastic wad full of #2 or #4 steel through this tight bore does not seem prudent. It is a 28" modified choke barrel, and is tough to miss with. I bought it from a cowboy action shooter who didn't have the heart to hacksaw the barrel, for $220, shipped.
