WebPharmacology Levetiracetam is an ( S )-enantiomer of the ethyl analog of piracetam, in the class of nootropic drugs which are considered to be “pharmacologically safe” ( 2, 3 ). It is structurally unrelated to any other antiepileptic class and has a novel mechanism of action. Webat approximately pH 5.5 with glacial acetic acid and 8.2 mg sodium acetate trihydrate.
