I'd go WOT for maybe 5 minutes and then drop down to idle and troll. The only issue I have ever experienced was if I dropped the RPMs very abruptly, the engine would sputter and die, but when restarted it would keep running.

You prime it, raise the throttle assist, choke it, crank it, it fires up instantly, then immediately and mysteriously dies. Good fresh gas and the carbs recently cleaned. I have a pressure gauge at the carburetor that reads 6 to 7 psi. After it idles or you drive it for 15 to 30 minutes, pressure goes to 0 psi and then the engine will die.
